The federal government says it will no longer help Oklahoma medical students become doctors.

Medical providers and hospitals across the state are bracing for the possibility they won't get a Medicaid payment next June.

News 9 spoke with doctors and other medical officials at OU medical center, who say they are very concerned of what may be lost if Oklahoma privatizes part of the Medicaid system.

After the Oklahoma Healthcare Authority announced it would be cutting 25-percent from the state Medicaid fund on Mar. 29, hospitals have been scrambling to figure out a way to cut costs without cutting care.
